This Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 flat cooler Cabriolet was completed on October 9, 1970 in the factory and shipped to its destination country California / USA. The equipment corresponded to a former full equipment with original BEHR air conditioning, power windows, thick leather interior with comfortable armrests in front and a radio from Becker. Even a limited slip differential for the rear axle was installed.

Until the early 1990s, the car remained in California, before he was sold to Dallas in Texas. He had just driven 10,310 miles. A Texas enthusiast had fallen in love with the car and bought it immediately. He kept him until he gave him over in 2001 for health reasons. A German-born Mercedes-lovers acquired the convertible and use it, if he found time for it, until 2011. He had the car regularly maintained and serviced, which can be found in numerous old bills. In 2011 he took the cabriolet to Germany as part of a move and had the car reworked by German specialist companies in 2012 and 2013 where necessary. The areas of bodywork, paint, technology and a new soft top were revised. In 2016, he had the wood trim and leather renewed in great quality.

In 2017 he finally sold the Cabriolet in a classic car collection, from which we could acquire the Cabriolet thanks to a collection conversion. It is very impressive that the Cabriolet does not only come up with an exceptionally good state of preservation, but with the help of invoice documents, the current speedometer reading of 74514 mls can be easily understood. Let yourself be captivated by this noble and rare 280SE 3.5 liter factory cabriolet, you will be amazed.
