This Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 was first registered to its owner in the USA on October 16, 1970 and came back to Germany a few years ago. Here a Hungarian doctor took a liking to the car and brought it back to his home country in Hungary. An experienced restorer should restore the car with his team in high quality. A whole series of pictures impressively documents much of the work done. The car was completely disassembled down to the body shell and rebuilt piece by piece. A new wiring harness was to ensure a proper electrical system that would meet modern requirements, and the overhaul of the engine, which had already been replaced once in the past by an exchange unit, was to ensure reliability even over long distances. The air suspension was revised accordingly, as well as the interior, whose solidly finished leather invites its passengers to cultivated travel. It kicks in powerfully when you press the gas pedal, shifts its gears quickly and cleanly and gives enormous driving pleasure. A joy that a collector has already been addicted to since 2016.
