This elegant white and red Mercedes-Benz 300 SL roadster with aluminum motor and disc brakes, was completed in May 1962 in the factory.
Included a black (040) coupe roof, a black soft top and whitewall tires. The first delivery took place in Europe. In this context it is pleasing to see that the dashboard have been preserved in German inscriptions, including kilometer tachometers. The car was sold in the USA in the 1970s and was at home with very good comprehensible, best addresses. He belonged to the well-known American enthusiast Bruce Meyer in the USA, Newport Beach, California and 1976 Peter A. Tadin in Cupertino, California. The condition of the Roadster is fantastic, the obviously still original, fine patinated leather, was reworked with an earlier restoration of the car.
The 300 SL roadster with disc brakes and Alumotor is a rarity among collector, of which only about 210 vehicles were built and very much sought.
