The BMW 700 is a small car produced by the automobile manufacturer BMW from 1959 to 1965, which was built as a coupé, four-seater sedan and as a 2+2-seater convertible. This series was particularly important for the then BMW AG. With this model, Bayrische Motorenwerke succeeded for the first time in gaining a foothold in the small car segment, in which the Volkswagen Group in particular caused a sensation with its Beetle. The "baroque angels" offered up to that time only served the upper class and were almost unattainable for many. A two-cylinder boxer engine with 697 cc in the BMW 700 first produced 30 hp and 32 hp later up to 40 hp, providing dynamic driving performance on many a mountain passage.

This BMW 700 was delivered in 1965 to its first owner, a goldsmith from Pirmasens, in the picturesque Rhineland-Palatinate. The vehicle remained in family ownership until 1990 and then found its way via Lüdenscheid to Lake Constance, where a BMW enthusiast took a liking to this elegant coupé in chic ceramic blue. He recognised the potential of this rarity, had the vehicle completely dismantled and then had it professionally rebuilt. Today this rare coupé is in great condition and fortunately has not lost any of its charm.

Experience a piece of automobile history and experience the "joy of driving".
