In 1976, the Ferrari 512 BB was presented at the Paris Motor Show as a thoroughbred road car. The 512 Berlinetta Boxer was the successor to the 365 GT / 4 Berlinetta Boxer. It was in place of the 4.4-liter twelve-cylinder front engine now set the twelve-cylinder engine as a mid-engine and increased to 5 liters of displacement.

The engine was not a boxer engine, but a V-engine with 180 ° bank angle and resembled the three-liter racing engines that were used in Formula 1. It differs outwardly to the 365 GT / 4 by 4 round taillights and 4 tailpipes, a wider rear and wider tires, a new hood and NACA air intakes in front of the rear wheels. Due to the 1981 stricter emission standards in the US, the carburetors were replaced by a mechanical injection system (Bosch K-Jetronic). The name was consequently supplemented with an "i" for iniezione on 512 BBi. A moderate facelift with air outlet grilles in the body color on the bonnet, wider tires, new fog tail lights and a narrower front grille let racy sports cars look more modern. The 512 BBi was replaced in 1984 by the Ferrari 512 with the melodious epithet "Testarossa".

This Ferrari 512 BBi was delivered to its first owner in sunny Italy in 1982 and remained in Italy until about 1992. After that, the sports car was sold to the US, to New Jersey. He stayed with his next owner for the next 25 years. In 2010, the engine was subjected to a complete overhaul, as evidenced by an existing series of pictures. In 2017, the car was registration to Salvatore Nolfo, an Italian-born Ferrari lover, also living in New Jersey. At the end of 2017 we acquired the car and brought it to Germany. Experience a piece of Italian automotive history with this car. The patina applied over the years gives it a tremendous aura and makes it possible to beat some Ferraristi's heart.
