This Mercedes-Benz 170V Cabriolet A from 1938 is a convertible dream with a great history. The car was delivered to Jürgen Voigts in Voigtsgrund in the Gibeon district in October 1938 via the Metje + Ziegler dealership in Windhoek, Namibia, which still exists today. At that time, the farm of the respected German-born Voigts family already covered 160,000 hectares of mostly private land and was known for its herds of 17,000 Karakul sheep. The wagon remained in Namibia during the war years and only returned to Germany after the war. It found its home in the Munich area and in the mid-1960s belonged to the actor Danilo Zschauer from Munich, among others, as can be seen from the original cardboard letter. On August 25, 1978, the convertible came into the possession of a highly successful entrepreneur in the Märkischer Kreis district of North Rhine-Westphalia, according to the original purchase contract available to us. He took excellent care of the car and maintained it, but decided in the mid-1980s to carry out a complete restoration. The restoration was of such quality that even today, many years later, the car presents itself in almost immaculate condition. It invites you to take stylish trips through picturesque landscapes with endless convertible pleasure.
