On December 2, 1963, a great wish came true for a successful flower wholesaler from Duisburg. His newly ordered Mercedes-Benz 220SE Cabriolet was delivered to him. A dream in modern papyrus white with blue leather interior. The latest model, which had just replaced the Ponton series, now stood in perfect elegance in front of his door. From now on, the car was to be part of the family. In fact, the car remained in the family for the next 53 years. In 2002 it was transferred to the wife and remained with the daughters after her death. In 2016, the daughters decided with a heavy heart to give the car away. It had hardly been driven. All these years it was lovingly maintained and well cared for. A new paint job was applied after the first paint had lost its shine over the many years. Also the leather interior was renewed at the request of its  new owner to the perfect exterior in original Mercedes quality.
