Mercedes-Benz 230 SL W113
rare early example with standing spare wheel
|Cylinder capacity in ccm||2.290|
We are pleased to offer you this 230 SL pagoda from the first year of production 1963, which is very popular among collectors - which stands out from its later siblings due to the rare standing spare wheel. The vehicle comes from the sunny south of France, from the picturesque Coté d' Azur. A lady from neighbouring Italy owned this elegant pagoda for 32 years. In 2011, the pagoda, which was preserved in very good original condition, was sold and subsequently came to Germany.
Here the car underwent a complete restoration: the body was completely stripped of all paint and received a new paint finish in the wonderfully matching color Beige Grey Metallic (DB 728). The engine, the transmission and the axles were overhauled. All auxiliary units were overhauled and renewed where necessary. A new interior in Bordeaux color and a new fabric top in Mercedes quality were installed. A power steering and color glass were retrofitted. In our manufactory, the vehicle had to undergo the strict glances of our specialists, who put their hands on the underbody of the vehicle once again to put the finishing touches on it.
Thus this pagoda presents itself in unique elegance. The engine runs smoothly as one would have expected from an in-line six-cylinder engine, the gears of the manual transmission can be shifted easily and precisely and the power steering makes the Pagode agile and gives a safe and pleasant driving experience.
