This Mercedes-Benz 280SL Roadster from the so popular series W113 was delivered on 18.04.1968 to an old-established furniture store in Hamburg. The maintenance was mostly done at Mercedes-Benz in Hamburg, as still existing copies of invoices prove. A new factory gearbox was installed in 1981, which is proven by the original Aggregate-Pass. The car remained there until it was sold to a hotelier in Belgium in 2007. The Mercedes-Benz partner in Mechelen provided all the years for the best possible maintenance and preservation of the car. The hotelier kept the roadster in his possession until 2014. In 2014 the elegant pagoda came in excellent condition to Mercedes-Benz partner Autohaus Rosier in the Ammerländer Heerstraße in Oldenburg. An extensive inspection was carried out and the car was put in top condition. The leather upholstery was faithfully renewed by the Mönnich car saddlery in Oldenburg, known for the best leather work. A lover of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles had taken a great liking to the car and purchased it for his collection. In order to preserve the car and to avoid damage to the car, the pagoda was occasionally used for journeys only in good weather. Now that the collection is to be reduced in size, we are pleased to be able to offer you this magnificent pagoda again. Everything works, no maintenance jam, ready for use even on long distances.
