A Pagoda like from the picture book. Beautiful in color combination, top in appearance, with original engine and transmission, finely restored and solid technology. In short, something good, something special at an interesting price.

The car was completed in March 1971 at the Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen, Swabia. Its buyer was based in sunny California/USA. He loved green tones and sporty automobiles. He had ordered his dream car in distinguished dark olive green, in combination with light upholstery. A rarely beautiful contrast.

The Pagoda remained in the sunny climes of California all these years and came to CLASSIC M B Inc. in Santa Ana/California/USA in the summer of 2002. Lother Motschenbacher, the CEO of the company, had personally taken delivery of the car.  He already had a buyer for it.  A customer was looking for just such a Pagoda and bought the car immediately. He was at home in a residential area populated with single-family homes in San José/California USA, less than an hour away from San Francisco. He kept the car until 2007. A German collector acquired the car, probably also through Lother Motschenbacher, the CEO of CLASSIC M B Inc. as can be seen from a note on invoice receipts. The collector places great emphasis on reliability and quality in his vehicles. The idea that "the better is the enemy of the good" comes up again and again. So his technicians quickly get the job of stripping the vehicle down to its bodyshell and restoring it. The result is impressive. In addition to its uniquely beautiful appearance, the car drives powerfully and solidly. The transmission shifts correctly and easily.
