The top model of the C107 series was the 450 SLC 5.0, which was produced in small series from 1977. Thanks to a newly developed light-alloy engine, the 5-liter V8 engine not only weighed 40 kg less than the previous cast iron engine, but also delivered around 15 hp more - and brought it up to a remarkable 240 hp at the time. Many of the 2,769 luxury coupes produced were sold overseas. But not this one: a yacht importer from Bad Lauterberg in the Harz Mountains ordered this SLC in Astral Silver Metallic in 1978. Until 2013, i.e. a total of 35 years, the vehicle remained in his possession and was always cared for and maintained. Proudly the gentleman pointed out to the lucky buyer, a collector from the Osnabrück area, that the vehicle was accident- and repainting-free! The vehicle is now being sold from the current collection.

With just over 130,000 km the vehicle presents itself in a wonderful condition: everything works as it should. The engine pulls powerfully, the automatic transmission shifts as it should and the driving experience conveys a great symbiosis of luxury and sportiness even after all these years. The luxurious equipment with air conditioning, leather upholstery, heated seats, electric windows and a Becker Grand Prix cassette radio spray the luxury of bygone days and are sought-after options today.
